Board meeting: PIA increases salaries by 10% to 20%

KARACHI: The board of directors of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has approved a 20 per cent increase in salaries of employees in Pay Group I to IV in the administration category and 10 per cent increase in salaries of officers in Pay Group V to IX in the administration category and engineering officers. The board gave the approval in a meeting held at PIA head office here on Friday. During the meeting chaired by Defence Minister and PIA Chairman Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar, the board was updated on implementation of previous decisions. It also discussed other matters of strategic importance.
