Shahid Khan Shinwari appointed to break the deadlock in sports and youth activities the K-P govt

PESHAWAR: Following directives from Prime Minister Imran Khan to break the deadlock in sports and youth activities the K-P govt on Saturday appointed international footballer and president of ex-Fata Olympic Association as Shahid Khan Shinwari as Vice-Chairman of K-P Sports and Youth Management Committee (S&YMC) with immediate effect.

Shinwari, who first introduced foreign footballers from Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Afghanistan in K-P International Football League-2018 and brought leading foreign companies like Bridgestone, NJK Plug and Automobiles companies to support sports and youth activities in K-P has been appointed as Vice Chairman for a two-year term.

Shinwari, who contested the historical election in tribal districts on PTI ticket for PK 105 recently, has been instrumental for holding scores of sporting activities, especially in his capacity as President FATA Olympic Association in the turbulent tribal areas.
