Green belt under flyover
DC urged local political leaders to play their role in making the city clean and green
MULTAN:
The district administration will establish a green belt beneath the Rasheedabad flyover under the Punjab Clean and Green Campaign. This was stated by Deputy Commissioner Aamir Khattak during his visit to Rasheedabad Chowk on Saturday. The DC said that saplings and flowers would be planted at the green belt in an effort to amplify the beauty of the city. He added that benches would also be installed at the green belt while encroachments would be removed from the Chowk. The Multan Development Authority (MDA) would provide funds for the project and would also plant saplings at other roads, he explained. Speaking on the occasion, MPA Zaheeruddin Alazai said that the plantation project had been initiated by Prime Minister Imran Khan. He maintained that all the possible resources were being utilised to make the project successful. He urged local political leaders to play their role in making the city clean and green.
