Uvas: 5,000 books sold at first book fair

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) held its first annual book fair on Friday.

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) held its first annual book fair on Friday. A UVAS spokesperson said that around 5,000 books were sold. The fair was attended by the university students, students of the College of Veterinary Sciences in Jhang and the Livestock and Dairy Development officials. Books on animal husbandry, food nutrition, pathology, microbiology, pharmacy, animal genetics, and animal reproduction were displayed. Prof Nasim Ahmad, the faculty of veterinary sciences dean, said that reading produced leadership and nourished creativity.
