The development took place during a meeting between CM Kamal and Tau at the CM Secretariat the other day. The CEO had called on the CM.
Balochistan Chief Secretary Captain (retd) Fazeel Asghar was also present.
During the meeting, matters pertaining to the promotion of cooperation, partnership and investment with the Chinese company in various sectors came up for discussion.
They also discussed granting academic scholarships to students of Balochistan and assigning the chairmanship of the Pakistan-China Centre to the chief minister.
Similarly, they also considered matters regarding investment in the minerals sector of Balochistan, besides provision of an assistance package for the province.
The CM apprised CEO Tau of the vast investment potential in various sectors of the province and lauded the assistance provided by the China Merchants Group to the business activities.
Tau assured of making an investment in the province, while the CM promised full cooperation to the Chinese group on behalf of the government.
The CM also informed the China Merchants Group CEO about the benefits of investing in the mineral and natural resources sector of the province.
It is pertinent to mention that Korla is the second largest city in Xinjiang.
