KARACHI: British-Pakistani actor Riz Ahmed seems to be going from strength to strength lately, except this time, it's his fashion sense that is taking him there.
Other than his political and humanitarian activism and acting skills, the Reluctant Fundamentalist star is now being considered one of the most stylish men in music by GQ Australia.
Riz, also nicknamed Riz MC, is also known as a VMA award-winning rapper among a myriad of creative hobbies. He is also penning a series for BBC Studios called Englistan.
“It’s a saga about a British Pakistani family over 40 of the most eventful years of recent British history, from 1979 to 2019,” Riz said about the drama. “It’s about a lot of things and ideas that are highly resonant and provocative right now. It’s about identity, hope, belonging and universal themes like family and looking for love.”
It's really scary to be a Muslim right now...Really scary: Riz Ahmed
Meanwhile, Riz starred with Tom Hardy in the high profile Venom earlier this year and won critics and fans at film festivals with Sound of Metal in which he essays a deaf drummer.
Riz doesn't seem to put a wrong foot forward when it comes to his outfits choices. Since the star has started frequenting the red carpet, he is praised for his modern, tailored suits that compliment his build.
His off-duty style is just as crisp. From all-over prints to varying shades of grey and stacked denim, Riz sure knows how to do put-together casual oh-so-well.
A truly stylish man also knows how to do the basics right. Exhibit A is the perfectly-fitted tuxedo he wore to the 2017 Emmy Award, where he won the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for The Night of.
Well played, Riz. Well played!
