He says that personnel’s spirits were high despite the heat, long hours and the terror threat

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar appreciated the performance on the cabinet committee on law and order, the chief secretary, the IGP and his team for ensuring the best possible security arrangements during Muharram. He stated that law and order remained under control in the province while peace committees and elected representatives also played their role in maintaining peace. Meanwhile, Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan on Wednesday praised officers and officials for performing their duties with commitment and dedication during Muharram. He said that personnel’s spirits were high despite the heat, long hours and the terror threat. During Muharram, police provided security to 9,107 processions and 36,138 majalis, proving that nothing can shake the force’s determination.
