QUETTA: Sibi Division Commissioner Agha Faisal Ahmed has said that security had been increased at all entry and exit points of the area and along routes to be taken by Muharram processions taken out in connection with Ashura. “Police along with Levies force and the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan are performing security duties in line with the plan developed for the day,” he said, adding that special check posts had also been set up. “All the routes will be sealed to ensure that there are no untoward incidents and the mourners are able to perform their religious obligations with ease,” Ahmed said that the incident of Karbala taught us many lessons including the importance of brotherhood and patience while urging religious scholars from the Shia and Sunni sects to foster peace and brotherhood during Muharram.
