A few months ago, Bollywood actor Salman Khan stepped out on his bicycle for a casual ride across the city.

However, he encountered an incident with a journalist who was trying to take his pictures while waiting at the traffic light. As per reports, the incident took place back on April 24, 2019, with a media personnel named Ashok Pandey and is being probed by the police at the behest of the Andheri Court Magistrate, reported Pinkvilla.

Ashok was in his car when he saw Salman riding his bike. He claimed he sought permission from Khan to click his photos and once his guards approved, he went ahead to take a video as well. However, Salman didn’t like his photo and video being taken and ordered his guards to stop the journalist.

The Dabangg star’s bodyguards reportedly banged Ashok’s car, abused and manhandled him, and eventually confiscated his phone. Salman deleted the two videos and then returned it to Ashok.

The journalist stated that he tried to file a complaint in DN Nagar police station where the Senior Inspector refused to file the issue.

“Senior inspector Parmeshwar Ganame and assistant police commissioner Vinay Kulkarni said it to my face that the case didn't have any merit, without even a preliminary probe. The cops told me to go get a court order for investigation. And you can see that the court has found merit in my case,” he said.

In light of this, the Andheri Court Magistrate has now ordered the police to investigate the matter and submit a detailed report by next month. Ashok has filed a complaint against Salman in the court of R R Khan, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Andheri, under IPC sections 323 (causing hurt), 392 (robbery) and 506 (criminal intimidation).
