Decrepit Utility: Railways denies terminating operations

LAHORE: The Pakistan Railways administration on Thursday denied terminating train operations in the country on an emergency basis. While explaining a news item aired on a local news channel, it said that it was taking steps to purchase spare parts of locomotives in line with the rules of the Public Procurement Regulation Authority to overcome the shortage of locomotives by using repairable locomotives. It added that no employees were being made redundant.
