Khoso vs panhwar: Two more dead in land dispute

Both the clans have been embroiled in the land dispute since the past 2 months, which has claimed eight people so far

SUKKUR: Two more people have been killed during armed clashes between Khoso and Panhwar clansmen over a land dispute near the village of Sikandar Khan Panhwar. Dubbar police said that two people died in an exchange of firing on Monday night and Tuesday morning. On Monday night, a group of armed Khoso clansmen raided Sikandar Khan Panhwar and opened fire, causing residents from the Khoso village to return fire. This exchange of fire led to the killing of Panhwar Sardar's son in law, Abdul Samad Khan Panhwar. The following morning armed Panhwar clansmen killed Bhoro Khoso in retaliation. Since then, an exchange of firing between the two clans has continued and on Wednesday night, two more Khoso clansmen, Liaquat and Yasin, were killed. Subsequently, the police raided different Khoso villages and arrested eight suspects including, Sadaruddin, Dilawar and others. Both the clans have been embroiled in the land dispute since the past two months, which has claimed eight people so far.
