Rebuilding: Army concentrates on rehabilitation

64 families from 3 villages of the Dadu district and 270 families from the Thatta district have new constructed houses

KARACHI: An ISPR press release issued on Thursday said that an army division located at Hyderabad under 5 Corps Karachi undertook a number of housing projects in flood-affected districts of Dadu and Thatta. According to this report, 64 families from three villages of the Dadu district and 270 families from the Thatta district now have newly constructed houses, in addition to a number of mosques, schools, basic health units and water supply points. The Pakistan Army has constructed over 59 houses, one school, one children's park and a mosque to flood affected families in the villages of Katey Jakhran and Ismail Memon. Another complex of 19 houses, a mosque, a boys' school and four water supply points have been constructed in the village of Abdullah Pusio. Both projects were completed in approximately Rs10 million.
