Health care: Govt dept allocates 72% of budget

The (SESSI) will spend Rs1.87 billion for provision of medical facilities to registered workers and their families

KARACHI: The Sindh Employees’ Social Security Institution (SESSI) will spend Rs1.87 billion for provision of medical facilities to registered workers and their families during the current financial year. This is 72 per cent of the organisation’s total budget, Sessi spokesperson said on Thursday. In the financial year 2012 budget, a sum of Rs236.6 million was earmarked for the purchase of medicines and Rs30 million for purchase of plots and construction of medical centre and dispensaries.
