The government should discourage the use of tobacco in all forms.
KARKI: Mouth cancer is a dangerous disease which afflicts a significant number of people in Pakistan. According to a report by World Cancer Research Fund, Pakistan is the 2nd highest country with the most oral disease rate. Mouth cancer is most common cancer among men in Pakistan. Gutka, mainpuri and tobacco are the major causes of mouth cancer in the country. This disease is spreading rapidly. Lung cancer is the most common type of cancer in Pakistan and mouth cancer comes the second. Cancer is preventable. The government should ban the above-mentioned stuff to prevent cancer. Tobacco-filled betel-leaves, gutka and other tobacco preparations should be removed from shops.
The government should discourage the use of tobacco in all forms. Make cigarettes and niswar expensive.
