RAWALPINDI:
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government has decided to issue Insaf health cards to journalists and other media workers across the country.

With these cards, media personnel will be able to avail free medical treatment up to RS725,000 at any government or private hospital.

The cards will only be issued to journalists registered as voters at press clubs.

Media workers whose employment is confirmed by the newspapers and TV channels will also be provided with the cards.
PTI Central Vice President Zahid Hussain told The Express Tribune that voters list would be obtained from the presidents and secretaries of press clubs in September to issue the cards.

“This process will be completed by October 30. We will start working on this project in the coming two weeks,” he added.
