MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Masood Khan has regretted the stance taken by some rulers in the Muslim world on the Kashmir issue.

The statement comes two days after the United Arab Emirates conferred Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the country's highest civilian honour – the "Order of Zayed".

"The people in these Arab nations fully support the Kashmir freedom struggle," said President Khan while addressing a gathering of Kashmiri refugees in Thotha.

"Each and every Pakistani feels the pain being inflicting on the Kashmiri people by the Indian government," he added.

Modi's 'historic blunder' an opportunity for Kashmiris to get freedom, says PM

The AJK president warned that if the international community fails to take a stand for Kashmiris then it would be difficult to control the enraged youth.

"We do not want war, but if war is imposed on us, we will retaliate to all of India's previous excesses," he said.

Urging the Modi government, the president also demanded New Delhi to take notice of protests held around the world against atrocities committed in Occupied Kashmir.

The government must use all diplomatic and political avenues to raise the Kashmir issue. "We need to knock on every door until the Kashmiris are given justice."

He assured the Kashmiri refugees that the government is doing its best to convey their voice to the world.
