ISLAMABAD: Privatisation Minister Ghous Bux Khan Mahar has pressed Japanese private sector to invest in the lucrative energy sector of Pakistan, besides exploring avenues in other fields as the government intends to privatise all state-owned enterprises. The minister said this on Wednesday in a meeting with a Japanese delegation, including Ambassador Hiroshi OE, according to a press release. Praising contribution of Japanese investors in Pakistan’s economy and financial assistance by Japanese government in various projects, the minister underscored the need for increasing private sector investment as every country’s economy depended on the private sector, which always played an effective and vital role.
