KARACHI:
The academic session commenced at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Lyari Medical College on Tuesday. The institution held its first introductory and anatomy classes and students, along with their parents, participated in the class. President Asif Ali Zardari inaugurated the college in 2009, at Chief Minister House. But the institution, which is built on the premises of the Lyari general hospital, could not start working immediately after because of a shortage of faculty and the absence of endorsement by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.
