This was directed by the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Senior Minister Atif Khan on Monday as he chaired a high-level meeting on tourism in the province.
During the meeting, Atif directed officials to complete all arrangements for the festival. The meeting reviewed preparations for Jashne Kumrat, Broghal and Kalash Achao Festivals.
The senior minister, who also holds the portfolio of tourism, said that this year the Jashne Kumrat festival will be celebrated in a befitting manner to give a positive and peaceful message to the world.
The three-day festival, he said will be celebrated from August 24 to August 26 where the local culture will be highlighted.
Kumrat, he said, is a new tourist spot in the province which is visited by a large number of tourists. Besides basic amenities, he said that all other facilities must also be provided in the area to make it accessible and friendly for tourists.
The tourism minister said that apart from Kumrat, they are looking for additional touristic spots in the province so that they can be developed for tourists. The meeting also discussed new touristic zones, rest houses, adventure tourism and provision of other facilities at touristic spots.
The meeting was attended by K-P Tourism Secretary Kamran Rehman, Additional Secretary Babar Khan, Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TCK-P) Managing Director (MD) Junaid Khan and other officials.
