ISLAMABAD: After a gap of nearly two decades, the top civic authority of the federal capital had finally decided to push ahead with the development of residential areas in Sector E-12.

In this regard, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will be issuing tenders for development works in the sector on Monday (today).

The move is in line with an announcement from the CDA management in February which said that they will initiate development activities in stalled sectors.

CDA hopes that by developing the sector, it will increase the housing stock available in the city, paving the way for the creation of some 4,000 housing units. Initially, work will start on the service road and gradually works in other areas will begin. Meanwhile, the development of Sector G 14/1 remains in limbo where the Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) is yet to take possession of the land.
