PCB launches talent hunt programme

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has launched a talent-hunt programme in collaboration with the National Cricket Academy (NCA) across more than 100 cities to unearth new talent present in the country.

The trials will be held in cities ranging from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad to Swabi, Turbat and Dadu. The selected individuals will be grouped into 12 teams (11 regional and one FATA team) and a tournament will be held among the participating teams.

The programme will also allow the NCA coaches to identify talent to bring to the Academy and keep them in mind as future under-19 players. The entire programme will be held under the supervision of the PCB’s Game and Development Director Haroon Rashid as well as Rashif Latif and Aaqib Javed.
