Congo virus claims another life
25 patients suspected of Congo virus had been brought to Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah hospital in the last four months
QUETTA:
A woman afflicted by Congo virus passed away in Quetta on Friday. The deadly virus has claimed the second life in the province this year.
Two days ago the woman was brought to Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah Hospital on suspicion she was suffering from the virus. According to hospital spokesperson, the lady could not recover despite the medical treatment initiated instantly after her admission in the hospital.
During the last four months, 25 patients suspected of Congo virus had been brought to Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah hospital out of which 11 were positive.
Earlier this year, a 35-year old woman Tazeem Faizan also died of the deadly virus in Karachi’s Orangi Town. So far eight people have died of the deadly virus in the metropolitan city this year.
