RAWALPINDI: Summer vacations at educational institutions across Punjab came to an end on August 15 and students are set to return to their classes today. However, heads of school have apparently ignored instructions issued by the Punjab Education Ministry regarding anti-dengue fumigation in their institutions before classes restart on Friday with no measures being taken in this regard. Earlier, the Punjab Education Department had imposed a ban on half-sleeved shirts and shorts and short frocks, with students only allowed to wear full-sleeved shirts and trousers owing to the dengue threat. The teaching staff has also been directed to ensure their presence on the first day of school.
