The 73rd Independence Day is being celebrated today as Kashmir Solidarity Day to express full support to the Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for the right to self-determination.

Preparations to celebrate Independence Day with traditional enthusiasm and zeal are underway across the country. People are purchasing buntings, national flags, Kashmir flags, banners, badges and pictures of national heroes.

The 73rd Independence Day of Pakistan was also celebrated at the Embassy of Pakistan, Abu Dhabi with national zeal and enthusiasm. A large number of UAE-based Pakistanis including women and children attended the ceremony.



Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE Ghulam Dastgir, hoisted the national flag, while the Independence Day messages from President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan were read out.
