ABBOTABAD:
Commissioner Hazara Division Khalid Umerzai threatened to ban all activities of non-government organisations (NGOs) if they failed to submit their no objection certificates (NOCs) to the district administration within two weeks. While talking to a group of representatives from NGOs in Hazara, the commissioner asked foreign-funded NGOs with offices in the cantonment limits of Abbottabad to relocate as early as possible. He directed the NGO officials to submit comprehensive reports pertaining to their annual work plans, sources of funding and future plans. Umerzai also emphasised on the regular monitoring of NGO activities and directed district co-ordination officers to check for any irregularities or malpractices in their projects.
