Infrastructure: Construction on Lyari Expressway

The project began in 2002 and 30,000 people have been relocated so far.

KARACHI: Work will begin on the Manghopir Interchange and Lyari Expressway in a week, according to DCO Karachi, Mohammad Hussain Syed. Those who will be displaced because of construction will be relocated according to the terms of encroachment package. The project began in 2002 and 30,000 people have been relocated so far. Construction had stopped because of lack of funds for the past two years.
