LAHORE: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has decided to hold payment of Eid bonus to 175 officers and employees who are involved in the bogus degrees case and other inquiries.

They include 124 staff members involved in bogus degrees case — four arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency — 32 under departmental inquiries — and nine whose contracts have been cancelled.

CAA charges on domestic flights may be removed

The CAA pays Eid bonuses to its employees on both Eids.

Sources said the CAA authorities have decided not to pay Eid bonus to officers and staff members who were facing cases. All the airports across the country have been advised in this respect.

The bonuses to such employees have not been paid because most of the inquiries have not been finalised yet. The fate of such staff members is hanging in the balance.
