Sindh Info Minister Saeed Ghani dissatisfied with performance

Minister says govt completed various projects recently but officials failed to highlight them in media

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and Archives and Labour Saeed Ghani has expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of the Regional Directorates of the Information Department.

He said that they have failed to highlight the soft image and development work of the provincial government in various areas of the province.

Presiding over a meeting of the regional directors on Thursday, the minister said that his government has completed various development projects recently but the officials had failed to highlight them in the media.

Ghani hints at issuing health cards to journalists

He said that it was the responsibility of the department’s officials to disseminate the information for the awareness of the general public about the development initiatives taken by Sindh government.

He also directed the officials to monitor the content of the print and electronic media. Information Secretary Imran Atta Soomro briefed Ghani about the structure, functions and performances of the districts’ offices.
