Congo virus

In the last four months, 25 suspected patients have been admitted to hospitals

MAKRAN: With Eid-ul-Azha around the corner, the number of people affected by Congo virus is on the rise. The affectees are mostly those that have greater interaction with animals. A patient has been identified with the virus in Pishin district of Balochistan.

He has been admitted to Quetta’s Fatima Jinnah Hospital. In the last four months, 25 suspected patients have been admitted to hospitals. Eleven of them have been diagnosed with the virus.

I appeal to the authorities to take necessary steps against the spread of the virus especially considering that at the time of Eid-ul-Azha people come more in contact with Congo virus.
