The advisory issued by the PMD on Tuesday states that if the intensity of the current system continues to persist, more rains will hit Karachi and other districts of Sindh. This is the second monsoon system entering Sindh which has already created low air pressure in the Northern Bay of Bengal and will reach Indian Gujarat by August 9. The system is forecast to enter Sindh on Friday evening.
Downpour is expected across Sindh province, including Mirpurkhas, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad and Thatta divisions. The Met office also predicts urban flooding in Karachi, Hyderabad and Thatta. It says the system will expectedly bring strong winds.
According to the chief meteorologist, Sardar Sarfaraz, the expected system seems heavier than the previous one that hit most parts of the province.
