LAHORE: Late actor-comedian Babu Baral's daughter, Maryam, has filed a complaint seeking registration of a case against her husband, Saqi Khan, for alleged domestic abuse. According to Express News, the 20-year-old daughter of the yesteryear artist has submitted an application at the Iqbal Town police station in Lahore.
Maryam has levelled accusations against Saqi for inflicting torture on her that caused her to lose her new born son. She reported having bruises on her face and arms. The police has said that they have received the application and they will take action according to the law. It is pertinent to mention here that Maryam and Saqi tied the knot last year in March. Her husband works at a private television channel.
PHOTO: APPAyub Akhtar – popularly known as Babu Baral – passed away eight years ago but the legendary stage artist still lives on in the hearts of his friends, family and fans. In order to commemorate his death anniversary, Babu’s family hosted a small ceremony at their home last year, wherein they celebrated the actor’s life and achievements alongside his loved ones.
