It is time to deal with corrupt elements sternly and put the nation on the road to development and progress
PESHAWAR: I wonder why we have to seek loans from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. Especially, IMF loans come with stringent conditions. The taxpayers have to pay back the loans. They go on tighten their belts more and more.
Seeking loans from foreign countries and international lending agencies shows that our politicians and other government functionaries are venal and corrupt. Corruption eats up the money people pay in the form of taxes. I do not know where will the habit of getting easy money lead us to?
It is time to deal with corrupt elements sternly and put the nation on the road to development and progress. Corruption is eating into the vital of the nation. It is time to act without any further delay.
