Govt launches a multi-language album

Rs5 million spent to produce 12 patriotic songs

PESHAWAR: Backed by the provincial government, the first-ever multi-language album of patriotic songs was released in Peshawar on Thursday. Addressing a news conference at the launch of the album, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shaukat Yousafzai said that our soldiers have rendered matchless sacrifices for restoring peace in the newly-merged tribal districts and that artists, through their work, have attempted to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers. He added that videos of most of the songs included in the album were shot in the newly-merged tribal districts to showcase how peace has been restored. “We are proud to have educated and gifted musicians in the province who are paying tribute to the agents of peace in the newly-merged districts,” Yousafzai said, adding that Rs5 million were spent to produce 12 songs.
