KARACHI: The team behind Superstar, Mahira Khan and Bilal Ashraf included, have released a new song titled Ghalat Fehmi - a romantic number dedicated to ill-fated lovers, voiced by Asim Azhar and Zenab Fatimah Sultan.

Ghalat Fehmi which literally translates into misunderstanding, portrays how a small issue can create rift between two people who are in love with each other. The single shows Khan's character Noori dancing her worries away throughout, on the mastery of choreographer Nigha Jee, who is also seen in the video.

The rise of Noori and the fall of Sameer, Ashraf's character in the film is the main theme of the track. The emotional number will trigger all sorts of feelings within the viewers, making them recall their first heartbreak.

Composed by Azaan Sami Khan and Saad Sultan, the tune of the track sounds familiar but, the poetry by Shakeel Sohail makes it stand out.

Noori might be reaching new heights professionally but personally, the hollow in her life which is created by Sameer's absence is quite evident in the video. She is seen walking alone, thinking to herself, recalling the past... the time she had spent with Sameer.

But, as they say, destiny has its own sweet ways of reuniting lost lovers. Khan and Ashraf meet again on what appears to be a film set. To find out how things unfold, audiences have to wait until Superstar releases on Eidul Azha.
