Trump during his maiden meeting with PM Imran on Monday had offered to mediate the decades-long Kashmir conflict saying he was asked by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to mediate on the issue, a claim which was promptly rejected by the government in New Delhi.

“Generations of Kashmiris have suffered and are suffering daily and need conflict resolution,” he added.
