Federal govt refuses to fund KP for salary increment

The federal government refused to provide Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with additional funds to cover salary increments of government employees.

Sources said the federal government is reluctant to pay the extra funds needed, making provincial governments see salary increments as burdensome.

Sources also said the budgetary announcement of a 50 per cent pay raise translates into an additional Rs12 billion.

Under the circumstances, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's government has reserved its decision on pay increments till the issue is discussed in a joint parliamentary and cabinet session.

People are advised to meet the father of CM in Mardan & all money matters are decided there. He is famous for **Mr.Easy load**

dr naseer hussain | 14 years ago | Reply A statement in your newspaper quoting kp spokesperson mentions, that after the 50% increase in the salaries,the additional burden on the exchequer would amount to 12 billion rupees,while the sindh chief quotes this figure as 1.2 billion in his province. I wonder whose provincial employees are more in number? It would be pertinent to mention that KP authorities have been adamant to increase the salaries of subordinate judiciary while sindh and punjab have increased their salaries since ages.I seriously doubt the authenticity of the figures mentioned above. When your employees are less than other province,when you are paying approximately 50% of their employees,when all other perks are denied to them,then how can you claim that your burden will be 12 billion rupees.This defies the basic principles of elementary mathematics and the person incharge needs a course in school maths.
