According to the police, CCTV footage, showing the boys heading towards the riverbank, has been found, which further strengthens fears of their drowning. Police said that all the boys were residents of Alhamd Plaza on Queens Road in Sukkur.
Abdul Aziz Buriro, a friend of the boys, also informed the police and their families that he saw them last at the river bank. Rehman Ansari, whose three sons are among the six missing boys, said that they had left home to play cricket.
He identified the clothes and slippers found from the bank to be of his sons. The boys include Iftitajul Rehman Ansari, Iftamul Rehman Ansari, Hamadur Rehman Ansari, Syed Qasim Ali, Muhammad Anees Malik and Syed Asim Ali.
Police said that 15 bodies were pulled out from the gates of Sukkur barrage on Indus River in the ongoing month, of which 10 were found this week.
