BUREWALA: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar took notice on Sunday of a police officer’s assault on a schoolteacher in Burewala.

A policeman named Qudratullah along with his colleagues allegedly abducted schoolteacher, Kaleem Ahmed, three days ago when he was returning to his house from an academy. The police took him to an unknown place where they subjected Kaleem to severe torture. He was stripped and the accused tortured the victim with a razor.

Later on, the accused forcefully cut off the victim’s hair and shaved his moustache and eyebrows after which they poured black oil over him. When the victim’s condition became critical, the accused ran away after throwing him outside his house.

Saddar police lodged the case and conducted a raid to arrest the accused but they managed to hide from the patrolling police. The chief minister immediately took notice after the news was aired on Express News. In this regard, Special Adviser of Punjab CM Dr Shehbaz Gul reached the victim’s house at night in Burewala to meet the victim and his relatives.

Reportedly, the suspects accused the schoolteacher of abusing the 4-year-old daughter of a constable.  The special adviser assured the victim of complete justice. The relatives of the victim expressed their anger against Saddar police for including weak sections in the case.
