Traders barred from selling their animals on streets and open plots

RAWALPINDI: The district administration has set up a dozen cattle markets for sacrificial animals ahead of Eidul Azha. Sale and purchase of cattle out these markets has been banned, according to directives of the district commissioner’s office. Traders have been barred from selling their animals on streets and open plots.  The vendors would be given space on rental basis while the related departments would make arrangement of water facilities for sacrificial animals.  Doctors from livestock department will be deployed in the markets to inspect health condition of sacrificial animals. Meanwhile, animals have started trickling into the designated markets and business has begun at a slow pace. These markets have been established on Ghazni Road, Pirwadhai, Supreme Court Colony, High Court Road, Khayabane Sir Syed, Chongi 22, Bakra Mandi Road, Adyala Road, Koth Kalan, Morgah, behind Ayub Park, Chohar  Chowk, Peshawar Road and GT Road.
