Minister calls for strategy on hepatitis control
Camps will provide free screening facilities of hepatitis B and C to the local people

Punjab Minister for Health Dr Yasmin Rashid has inaugurated a free three-day anti-hepatitis screening camp set up in Government Mozang Hospital on Thursday.
While highlighting the importance of free screening camps, Dr Rashid said 10% of people were affected by this disease in Pakistan. The minister said instructions have been issued to the departments concerned to launch a comprehensive awareness campaign throughout Punjab regarding hepatitis B and C.

She appealed to the philanthropists to support the government’s mission to eradicate fatal diseases like hepatitis. “The government is taking effective measures to save the lives of mother and child.”
