The strong reaction by the PML-N was due to the arrest of former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi by the accountability watchdog earlier today.
“Is every civilian a terrorist here?” Iqbal questioned. “We can sacrifice our lives but, we will not deviate from the path of exposing this government for what it is.”
Questioning ‘biased’ actions of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Iqbal suggested changing its name to ‘Nawaz-league accountability bureau.’

“NAB is only capable of acting against us,” he said, “It does not question the government. Half of the cabinet members have references registered against them, but they are not arrested. Does NAB have the courage to seek out Imran Niazi in the helicopter case?”

Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also condemned the arrest of the former prime minister and termed it as a part of the witch-hunt of ‘selected’ government against the elected representatives.
LNG contract case: Abbasi rejects allegations levelled against him
In a statement issued, the PPP chairman said that the "selected" government wants to hide its utter failure by detaining and arresting political opponents but the protests against its continuous attacks on the national economy would not end.
Bilawal said that "selective accountability by the selected government" would never be accepted despite the use of illegal and unconstitutional tools against the joint opposition.
He also demanded the release of former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
