ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is looking for a long-term and strategic relationship with the United States, declared Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Zubair Gilani. Speaking to a delegation of the US-Pakistan Business Council, led by its Chairman Mehmood Khan, Gilani said the government was focused on promoting industrial growth, which met the objective of improving exports and reducing imports. The delegation was on a visit to Pakistan for exploring investment opportunities and projects. It included investors interested in different sectors such as information technology, energy, science and technology, pharmaceuticals and health, logistics and others. In that regard, the BOI organised B2B meetings for the delegation in order to give them a chance to sit with Pakistani businessmen from the same sectors and discuss avenues for mutually beneficial relationship.
