This was decided in a meeting of CCPO Lahore BA Nasir and a delegation of PCPB, led by its chairperson Sarah Ahmed, on Wednesday. Nasir expressed his concern over child abuse incidents and said all locals should come forward to uproot this problem from society.
"Teams will run awareness campaigns in the jurisdiction of 84 police stations of Lahore. During the drive, mosques and other community places would be engaged to deliver the message," said Nasir.
He suggested PCPB should conduct a one-day workshop to educate policemen at District Police Lines Qila Gujjar Singh. "Women police officers, in collaboration of PCPB, will provide necessary information about the prevention of child abuse. Prevention is the most effective way to secure our children,” he said.
Talking about the Batapur child murder case, Nasir said that DNA samples of suspects were forwarded to a forensics lab.
