RAWALPINDI: Four more brick kilns have been sealed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for emitting toxic smoke. The raiding team was led by EPA Deputy Director Amin Baig. The cases regarding kilns have been sent to the magistrate courts. Earlier, the EPA had sent notices to brick kilns across the district to adopt environment-friendly zigzag technology. The laboratory test of samples collected from related brick kilns endorsed presence of toxins in smoke emitted by them. Furthermore, the EPA deputy director told The Express Tribune that it would be ensured that all brick kilns installed zigzag technology by December 31.
