A teenager was punched unconscious on a night out after she told a man who followed her from a nightclub that she was not interested, on Monday.

An 18-year-old was approached by the accused and two other men on a Manchester street, reported by The Independent

The two girls walked away from the men, but they kept following them and trying to harass them.

In an attempt to avoid the situation, the girl said she is not interested after which the attacker punched her and knocked her out.

She was helped by volunteers from a community group and sent to the hospital in a taxi.

Chief inspector Cherie Buttle, said: "This was a violent and unprovoked attack upon a young woman who was simply minding her own business during a night out."
