RAWALPINDI: The government has taken notice of charged parking at public hospitals after citizens lodged multiple complaints on Prime Minister Citizen Portal.

The matter was previously delayed and kept passing back and forth between different departments who put the responsibility on each other. However, the portal has taken up the issue again after which the District Commissioner (DC) has sent a notice to Medical Superintendent (MS) of Holy Family Hospital.

The MS has been asked why the attendants had to pay a fee for every round to the hospital.

The MS was also questioned about where the amount which summed up to millions of rupees was being utilised.

It was noted that citizens are charged Rs20 with every round they make to public hospitals.
