Collisions: 1 killed, 5 injured in accidents

KHANPUR: A child was crushed and five others received injuries in two separate road accidents. According to Liaqatpur police, Asim,8, was crossing the road when a speeding car (MNA-4031) ran him over near Kuddan Pir. The driver fled the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. Police officials have taken the car into custody and shifted the body to the THQ hospital for an autopsy. In another accident, a Sadiqabad-bound van (JA-6222) rammed into a road side tree. As a result, driver Rasheed Ahmed and four passengers Sajjad Ahmed, Aftab Ahmed, Liaqat and Muhammad Tariq were seriously injured and were shifted to Sheikh Zayed Hospital.
