KARACHI: After the upbeat Ik Pal, upcoming film Parey Hut Love has released a brand new love ballad titled Behka Na on Wednesday that will make you want to fall in love.

Featuring a sparkling chemistry between lead actors Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui and Maya Ali, the song has been voiced by Ali Tariq and Indian singer Harshdeep Kaur. Composed by Azaan Sami Khan, the lyrics have been penned by the film’s director Asim Raza himself.

Behka Na begins with the lead pair sneaking around in a dark place, which later appears to be a film set. What better way of setting the mood for a romantic number than by having the male lead light candles for his lady love? A pigeon then comes out of somewhere, scaring Ali’s character Saniya, as a result of which she falls into Munawar’s namesake character Sheheryar’s arms.

If you have not already guessed what happens next, here it is: the hug, the eye contact and the shy smile by the girl, with nothing but love in the air.

The lyrics of Behka Na explore the different waves of love, whereas the music video sets the mood for a starry night that the two lovebirds spend together, driving to places on a Vespa. Later, the couple is seen dancing in Kashmir.

“The song, which was never meant to happen, was the very first to come into being after Rahat’s qawwali,” Raza said in a recent Instagram post.

“The song, which I fell in love with the first time I heard its rough melody. I wrote the lyrics of this song with tears dropping down my eyes non-stop…” he added.

Ali and Munawar depict the sweetness of new love between two people, unsaid but definitely known and heartfelt. The soothing melody comprising the piano, violin and flute add depth to the track and make it magical.

Parey Hut Love features a star-studded cast including Ahmed Ali Butt, Zara Noor Abbas Siddiqui, Rachel Viccaji, Faheem Azam, Hina Dilpazeer and Nadeem Baig in prominent roles. The film is set to release on Eidul Azha.
