Govt to build four new dispensaries in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh Labour and Human Resource Minister Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has said that Karachi, the biggest city of Pakistan, has the largest number of labourers in the city and to provide better health care facilities to them, the government is establishing four new dispensaries in the metropolis at a cost of Rs75 million.

This he said while presiding over a meeting in his office on Tuesday.



Labour and Human Resource Secretary Rasheed Ahmed Solangi informed that the proposed dispensaries would be established at Bhittaiabad, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Memon Goth and Shershah. The meeting was further told that medical facilities were being improved at the hospitals managed by Sindh Employees' Social Security Institution (SESSI). For the purpose, a nursing school at a cost of Rs110 million would be established at Social Security Landhi Hospital. A nursing school and a hostel at Kulsoom Bai Valika Hospital are also going to be built at a cost of Rs82m.  Baloch said that Rs150 million had been reserved for automation in SESSI.
