PCTB says no alteration has been made to Khatm-e-Nabuwat in the Pakistan Studies textbook for grade nine
A spokesperson for the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) has clarified that no alteration has been made to Khatm-e-Nabuwat in the Pakistan Studies textbook for grade nine published by the PCTB. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the spokesperson said that t he book under discussion was printed by a private publisher named GHF Publishers and the book’s content is not in accordance with the standards set by PCTB in its approved draft. The approved draft can be seen on PCTB’s website. The spokesperson further said that the PCTB has constituted a special team which conducted raids and seized around 30,000 books and shifted it to the PCTB warehouse, Multan Road. An FIR has been lodged against the publishers concerned in Anarkali police station.
